OK, now I know I'm going crazy ...

About 10 minutes ago I retried your Code, altering the "RefersToR1C1" to "RefersTo" and when using the German version of the RefersTo contents:
"=BEREICH.VERSCHIEBEN(AppData!$A$3;0;0;(ANZAHL2(AppData!$A:$A)-2);1)"
and now this works!

Now begging the questions:
1. Why does this work on the EN language version (using ..R1C1)?
2. which one has reacted correctly?
assuming the correct useage to be 'RefersTo' or 'RefersToLocal' (because the referral was not actually R1C1 type) then
3. How is it going to be possible to distribute one application that will be installed on a PC that could have any one of the possible Office2007 language sets - right now there is 'only' English or German, we may though be getting French and Spanish Users - and am I expected to know the equivalent commands in all languages?, or can I set the Workbook to a Standard 'culture' (presumably US-en) work on it in this mode then switch bach to the 'Culture' of the User's computer ... is this is getting out of hand, or have I missed some important point?
